Dear Radio Friend,     This week's show features stories from Radio Deutsche-Welle, Radio Havana Cuba, and Sputnik Radio.  http://www.outfarpress.com/swr180914.mp3        From GERMANY- In Spain, a million pro-independence supporters filled the streets of Barcelona on Tuesday. In Germany police began removing tree sitting citizens protesting a new open pit coal mine. Germany finalized a deal with Italy to reject migrants at the Austrian border. German Chancellor Merkel told the Parliament there was no excuse for using Nazi slogans and attacking minorities, which has been on the rise in the east of the country. Some anti-fascist politicians made comparisons to the start of the Nazi regime in the 30s. In Brazil, imprisoned Lula da Silva has withdrawn from the Presidential race and selected former Sao Paulo mayor Fernando Haddad to replace him as the Workers Party candidate.        From CUBA- The US State Department is now blaming Russia as the main actor behind the alleged health incidents reported by US  diplomats in Havana. The Venezuelan government says it has confirmed that the US was behind the failed drone assassination of President Maduro last month. Across the globe hundreds of protests were held demanding urgent action to address climate change. Last Saturday, US warplanes have reportedly dropped phosphorous bombs on a village in eastern Syria. Tens of thousands of Chilean citizens filled the streets of Santiago de Chile in solidarity with the victims of the Augusto Pinochet 17 year dictatorship, which began on September 11, 1973.        From RUSSIA-  On his program called Going Underground, Afshin Rattansi begins with a review of the aftermath of the 911 attack in the US. He then interviewed Ajuma Baraka, human rights activist and former Green Party candidate for Vice-President in 2016. They discussed the two 911s, one in Chile and one in the US. He says that the western backed coup in Chile was the beginning of the attempted overthrow of all leftist governments, as well as the birth of neo-liberalism. The 911 attacks in the US birthed the so-called war on terror aimed at al-Qaeda, which the US is now defending in the Idlib province of Syria. They also discuss the eulogies from the left about John McCain.             The latest Shortwave Report (September 14) is up at the website http://www.outfarpress.com/shortwave.shtml  in 3 forms- (new) HIGHEST QUALITY (160kb)(33MB), broadcast quality (13MB), and quickdownload or streaming form (6MB) (28:59) Links at page bottom   (If you have access to Audioport there is a highest quality version posted up there {33MB} http://www.audioport.org/index.php?op=producer-info&uid=904&nav=&) PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml  (160kb Highest Quality) NEW ARTICLE about the Shortwave Report in the Boulder Weekly by Gavin Dahl-http://npaper-wehaa.com/boulder-weekly/2015/03/26/#?article=2478097 links for this week's edition- <  http://www.outfarpress.com/swr180914.mp3  > (33 MB) HIGHEST QUALITY<  http://www.outfarpress.com/swr_09_14_18.mp3   > (13 MB) Broadcast Quality<  http://www.outfarpress.com/swr_09_14_18_24.mp3  > (6 MB) Slow Modem streamingWebsite Page- < http://www.outfarpress.com/shortwave.shtml >       ¡FurthuR!      Dan Roberts "Satire died the day Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, and it died a second time the day that Tony Blair was appointed Special Envoy for the Middle East."--Ken Loach Dan RobertsShortwave Report- www.outfarpress.comYouthSpeaksOut!- www.youthspeaksout.net
