On the evening of Monday Nov 26, sawhorses and park service workers were spotted in one of rhe usual locations where "deer removal" shooting takes place on Oregon Ave on the Rock Creek side shortly after 7PM. South of military road, park roads excluding Beach Drive were blocked off with sawhorses and park service vehicles including trucks big enough to move dead deer were behind some of the barricades.All of the same positions were set up again the following night and two nights later(Nov 27 and 29).

On Halloween, protesters in front of the "Kremlin Annex" as they call the White House read out a list of nearly two dozen of Trump's crimes. The protest has been there since Trump's July 16 joint press conference with Vladimar Putin denying interference in the 2016 election.

The sign in front of the bar at Harry's Restaurant in DC reads "Harry's Bar." In both 2017 and 2018, this bar hosted the afterparty for the Trump/MAGAt/Fascist "Mother of All Rallies." Like last year, total attendance at the MOAR was very sparse, but violent fascists were present. Last year it was "Based Stickman," this year Joey Gibson of Patriot Prayer was on the speaker's list and the Proud Boys showed up this year.

The 20th of August was the 36th night of ongoing impeachment rallies at the "Kremlin Annex" aka the White House. A disruptor barged into the protest but was unable to shout down or take over the mike. He soon left after being engaged by the emcee over the sound system, a drummer and a protester dressed as a shark.
On the 19th of August, the Washington Post announced that Donald Trump has decided to cancel his proposed military parade honoring himself in response to a Pentagon estimate of a $93M cost. Trump "blamed" DC as a whole for this. This all occurred less than a week after the huge police operation staged by DC to protect neo-Nazis on Aug 12, and DC's cost estimate for that event of $2.6M.

On Aug 11, a Twitter post appearing to be from DC Police Chief Newsham stated he sat down for a pleasant dinner with his comrade Jason Kessler on the 11th of August. After a discussion of their mutual plans for August 12, Cheif Newsham released a Tweet containing Jason Kessler's phone number, saying "if you have any questions please reach out to him directly on his cell phone" followed by the phone number.
Protesters vow to return night after night until Trump resigns or is impeached
Sun, Aug 5 was Day 21 of Occupy Lafayette Park protests demanding impeachment of Donald Trump over the Russiagate election tampering scandal. After some electric violin music protesters vow to keep coming until Trump resigns or is impeached("till he's gone!")
Patriot Prayer, a white nationalist group on the west coast, has called for two rallies, one in Portland on August 4 and another Berkeley on August 5. This caravan is attempting to build ground support for the national fascist rally, “Unite the Right 2,” in DC on August 12.

We are calling all anti-fascists and people of good conscience to participate in international days of action August 10 through August 12 and a mass mobilization in Washington DC. This is for Heather Heyer, ICE abolition, open borders, dismantling the prison industrial complex, and ending the settler colonial system. We will confront fascism, antisemitism, Islamaphobia, white supremacy, and state violence on August 10-12.
It has been confirmed that in addition to the MPD officers spotted marching ahead of the Pride parade by David Thursten, transgender MPD officer Jessica Hawkins marched in uniform, solo, with the transgender flag. At one point, MPD retweeted a video showing her, then realized people in the background were chanting "fuck the police" and pulled down their retweet.
On the 13th of June, the DC Bike Party held their Pride-themed June 2018 ride. This ride was very large, and when the ride went to the basilica at Catholic University and circled the street in front of it not all of the ride would fit in the circle at one due to its size.

On the 11th of June, antiwar activists from multiple groups gathered outside the White House on the even of the Trump-Kim nuclear disarmament summit. Many worried that this pair of hotheads would not be able to get through the summit without one insulting the other and trashing the negotiations. One of the banners reminded the world of how many US nuclear warheads need to be removed along with the Korean nukes.

On the 9th and 10th of June, pro bike racers returned to the streets of Clarendon and Crystal City, for the Clarendon and Crystal cups respectively. With the furious resistance mounted by marginalized communities against corporatization of events like Pride, it can be shocking to see the degree of overt corporatization (and militarization in this case) in pro bike racing.

The official list of contingents in the 2018 Capitol Pride parade did not include MPD, and there was a long time with nothing on the route before another, different contingent appeared to step off the parade.
