On the 2nd of October, the Women's March marched on the US Supreme Court to condemn their decision to uphold the Texas near-ban on abortion. Marchers were measured in thousands, counterprotesters in dozens. The cops penned the march into a dangerously narrow space by the Supreme Court while shouting matches were the limit of interaction with the right-wingers.

On the first day of October, Supreme Court so-called "Justice" Brett Kavanaugh got a second protest at his house over the Texas abortion law he chose to uphold. This time it was mostly his own neighbors, protesting after dark with a candlelight "Vigil for Democracy." Kavanaugh could not leave to escape the protest, as he is in quarantine at his house after a positive covid test.

On Friday, Sep 24, Truist Bank launched a predawn assault on Adams-Morgan plaza and its defenders. They showed an old and revoked permit, and MPD said the "big boys downtown" said they were "good to go" but the assault reportedly failed, with the defenders still holding the plaza later that day.

At Noon on the 22nd of September, Truist Bank had planned to evict unhoused people from the plaza at 18th and Columbia Road and fence the area off. They got an unpleasant surprise: activists were holding the plaza, and the delay allowed city officials to call them out for attempting to build the fence without a permit. Had the fence been up before the inspectors arrived it would probably have been allowed to stay.

Early AM on Sep 22, Extinction Rebellion DC sank a mock house in the Tidal Basin to dramatize the effects of rising sea levels. Park Police arrested their swimmer who allegedly guided the house for "operating a vessel without a permit. That house is not a boat, but boats will soon be needed by DC residents if climate chaos keeps pushing up sea levels

On the 21st of September, thousands of migrants and supporters marched on the US Capitol. On the way they made a pit stop at ICE headquarters, demanding ICE be abolished entirely. Biden is facing considerable pushback for his Trump-style campaign of deportations, most recently of Haitians.

On the 12th of September, Code Pink launched the "Cut the Pentagon: campaign to redirect money away from the Pentagon and to other priorities. They held a rally in Lafayette Sq with a cake symbolizing both the Pentagon and the budget, which was literally cut and served out to participants.

On Sep 11 and 12, Christian evangelical and far-right activist Sean Feucht held one of his "let us worship" concerts on the Mall in DC. His permit called for a maximum of 30,000 attendees, but photos show he got less than 10% of that if even that.

On Sep 7, Black Lives Matter and transit activists rallied at Columbia Heights Civic Plaza to demand that the WMATA (Metro) board vote NO on the proposal to expand Metro police powers. This vote originally scheduled for July 29 was postponed to Sep 9 after WMATA board member Tom Bulger received a protest at his home on July 27.

On the 28th of August, after a long day of voting rights marches, marchers again assembled at NY Ave and FL Ave NE for An'Twan Gilmore. After a feint downtown, marchers headed E on NY Ave and descended on MPD's 5D headquarters. When they got there, cops stood wall to wall to defend their precinct but avoided a fight. Possibly they know they are guilty and don't want to trigger further unrest.

At first this looked like yet another "snake march" but it soon became apparent these protesters had a special target: Biden's Chief of Staff Ron Klain, who can most likely kill off Line 3 with a stroke of a pen. A protracted protest at his house lasted until around 10PM, when 24 water protectors were arrested.
