ISIS 101What’s really terrifying about this threatJohn Chuckman ISIS certainly is not what a great many people think that it is, if you judge what they think by what our corporate press proclaims incessantly.  Judging by what ISIS actually does and whom its acts benefit, its clandestine associates, and the testimony of some witnesses, ISIS is a complex intelligence operation. Its complexity reflects at least in part the fact that it serves the interests of several countries and that it has more than one objective.

Code Pink confronts AIPAC in House office buildings as Bibi speaks

On the 3rd of March, Code Pink got into the Longworth House Office Building as Israeli Prime Minister Nehtanyahu gave his speech. Both Code Pink and AIPAC director Cohen then attempted to enter speaker Boehner's office but that one was locked. Code Pink then chased AIPAC's director Robert Cohen through the halls before storming Representative Stivers' office after him.After being driven from the office by cops they managed to boo the speech at a "watch party" surrounded by unhappy AIPAC members.

On the 2nd of March, AIPAC delegates attending a fancy dinner at the Washington Convention Center were the subject of a second day in a row of confrontation. While they ate a noisy protest took place outside, and when they emerged they had to run the gauntlet of protesters. Members of Congress emerging from the AIPAC bribefest were singled out by name to be "named and shamed."

Multiple arrests as protesters blockade, enter AIPAC Convention

On the 1st of March, several protesters were arrested while blocking a door of the Washington Convention Center during the start of the convention of AIPAC, the "American Israel Public Affairs Committee." At first conventiongoers bypassed the blockade by other doors, leading to a determined attempt tp get into the building. Some protesters managed to sneak in while others tried to re-establish the door blockade on the inside of the doors. They were dragged outside by cops, who the conceded the top of the steps to protesters. Finally several protesters were arrested while blocking a door open so the sounds of the protest could be heard more clearly from inside.

Armed US drones protested at Air and Space

Inside the National Air and Space Museum is a drone exhibit (Predator drone included) that ignores the civilian deaths Obama's and Bush's armed drones have caused while glorifying military drones in general. On Feb 28, protesters showed up with leafets, signs, and a mock drone in front of Air and Space.
