Police brutality protesters occupy lobby of DC Police headquarters

On the 12th of January, both Ferguson protesters and Guantanimo Bay protesters joined forces to occupy the lobby of DC Police (MPD) headquarters for just over 28 minutes. The 28 minutes symbolized the fact that every 28 hours a Black man, woman, or child is killed by police, security guards, or vigilantes in the US. The occupation was tense but no arrests were made.

Two arrested in torture protest at Dick Cheney's house

Early AM on Saturday, Jan 10, Code Pink and other activists gathered at Frying Pan National Park in Herndon, Va for the Torture Tour. Protesters stopped at the homes of CIA chief John Brennan and of former vice President Dick Cheney, both notorious war criminals. Tigh Barry was arrested at Cheney's house-while dressed as Cheney himself! A second arrest was also reported, apparently this began as an attempt to put Cheney under citizen's arrest on war crimes charges. Afterwards, the remaining protesters headed to CIA headquarters for a vigil against torture and drone strikes.
