Impeachment protests enter 7th week in front of White House #KremlinAnnex

Monday, the 27th of August marked the beginning of the 7th week of nightly protests in front of the White House demanding Trump be impeached for the Russiagate scandal. The "Kremlin Annex" protests began on the evening of July 16 after Trump's joint press conference with Vladimar Putin denying Russian interference in the 2016 election. There are now reports of Trump avoiding the White House while these protests are in session.

Alexandria, VA gets one of over 80 #StopKavanaugh rallies

On the 26th of August, the Unite for Justice Virginia Rally ws held by the the Women's Equality Coalition with one simple demand: that the Democrats do anything and everything they can to prevent Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavenaugh from being confirmed. This was one of over 80 such rallies on Aug 26 held in the portions of Occupied Turtle Island claimed by the United States.

Protesters demanding rejection of Brett Kavenaugh for SCOTUS disrupt Hart Senate Office Building

On the 23ed of August, protesters opposing Trump's Supreme Court pick Brett Kavenaugh first disrupted the Hart Senate Office Building cafeteria, then rained down fliers in the atrium. The leaflets call out the clear and present danger Brett Kavenaugh poses to everything from worker's wages to a woman's right to choose.

Disruptor can't stop Day 36 of ongoing #Kremlin Annex impeachment rallies

The 20th of August was the 36th night of ongoing impeachment rallies at the "Kremlin Annex" aka the White House. A disruptor barged into the protest but was unable to shout down or take over the mike. He soon left after being engaged by the emcee over the sound system, a drummer and a protester dressed as a shark.

Trump cancels Nov military parade in wake of huge costs, UTR II fallout

On the 19th of August, the Washington Post announced that Donald Trump has decided to cancel his proposed military parade honoring himself in response to a Pentagon estimate of a $93M cost. Trump "blamed" DC as a whole for this. This all occurred less than a week after the huge police operation staged by DC to protect neo-Nazis on Aug 12, and DC's cost estimate for that event of $2.6M.

DC Bike Party gets strong turnout for combined bike/skate event minutes after rain ends

On the 17th of August, the DC Bike Party held a combined event with Washington Area Roadskaters, thus adding rollerblades and skateboards into the ride. Bicyclists were still the majority of particpants. Turnout was surprisingly strong considering rain stopped just minutes before the ride set out into a clearing sky.

Police harass Indymedia journalist at home in wake of Unite the Right II #shutitdowndc

On the evening of August 16, an Indymedia journalist was harassed at home by police. There was one Montgomery County, MD white police SUV and two dark unmarked cars. Four cops were visible. One or more approached the house, saying they wanted help identifying others shown in a Daily caller sting video targetting counterprotesters against Unite The Right II. The journalist refused to cooperate.

Update: The poster of the Daily Caller video which triggered the harassment has been identified as Benny Arthur Johnson of NW DC.

The president also spoke about a new memorial day for so-called comfort women, who were forced into being prostitutes for the Japanese military.

Amalgamated Transit Union 689 protests outside Metro Center demanding the ouster of General Manager Paul Wiedefeld for providing special accommodations to attendees of the Unite The Right II rally.
