Embassy Protection Collective HOLDING Embassy of Venezuala against Trump-backed forces of Juan Guaido

Update Apr 29:US backed Venezualan opposition claims they will take over Embassy "this week" but this would require considerable force to be used against those who are legally occupying the building. Reinforcements needed!

Since early April, Code Pink and allied groups have been living in and holding the Embassy of Venezuala, keeping out the Trump-backed opposition forces of self-declared "president" Juan Guaido. Diplomats from Venezuala's current government were ordered out of the US, but on the way out they handed the Embassy over to Code Pink for safekeeping. April 28th it appeared that Secret Service might attempt to retake the building but the attack never materialized.

In the US many people still consider this to be speculation.

Chelsea still in jail after 4th Circuit Court of Appeals reject appeal and rejects bail

On the 22nd of April, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Chelsea Manning's appeal and denied bail, keeping her in jail where she has been since the 9th of March for defying a grand jury's subpeona to snitch on (presumably) Julian Assange and Wikileaks. Of course, a "Grumbles" motion can be tried again at any time, since the root of it is to show that no amount of confinement can get the target to testify, making confinement punitive rather than probative and thus illegal for civil contempt. Only the U$ and Liberia still use grand juries at all.

Unknown fascist draws swastika on window of activist car

Late night on April 20-21, an unknown person left a swastika drawn in black marker ink on the right side window of an anti-fascist activist's car. This is in the wake of the defeat of attempts by Patriot Front to post their propaganda in Washington DC. The full car is not being shown here, and the activist not named so as not to confirm anyone's identification of the car.

Controversy erupts as yuppie dog walkers invade Howard University

In recent weeks, white dog walkers from nearby condos have been literally shitting on parts of Howard University deemed sacred space by some students. Meanwhile, African-American dog walkers from neighborhoods near Howard generally do NOT walk their dogs at Howard according to the Washington Post. The hashtag "#HUisNotADogPark" has arisen on Twitter, and the push to remove the yuppie dog walkers from Howard has been tied to the succesful #dontmutedc campaign that restored go-go music to MetroPCS after a resident of the upscale Shay effectively ordered it stopped.
