During the week of June 16, Donald Trump publicly threatened (via Twitter) to send ICE agents into urban neighborhoods to last known addresses of migrants (including families with children) that ICE has not been able to find and deport. The raids are supposed to start in about a week. This means Trump wants his racial purity police to launch raids on places and at approximate times where they are expected.
On the 12th of June, the DC Bike Party staged their annual Pride Ride, just days after Capitol Pride. Light rain at the start had exactly no effect on the ride, heavier rain did not arrive until the halfway point at Malcolm X Park. This was a very large event with hundreds of riders stretching for many blocks.
On the 8th of June, the Capitol Pride parade marched before a huge crowd of hundreds of thousands. Late in the parade at about 7:30PM a sudden panic sent the crowd into a full stampede to escape the area near Dupont Circle. The author of this story was on a bike and took cover behind a medic's empty wheeled gurney to avoid being trampled or tripping others who would then in turn be trampled.

At about 7PM on the 13th of May, police commenced a raid on the Embassy of Venezuala. The next few hours were very tough going as police sought to enter an embassy, which is far better protected than a normal office building, At around 9:40PM, police abandoned their failed raid as attorneys got control of the situation. The efforts of embassy protectors to deny the police "facts on the ground" bought time for attorneys and legalities to stop the raid.

On the 6th of May, the VOICES coalition set up an "octopus" of mock fracked gas pipelines on the Mall near 3rd st NW and Madison Drive NW.
